Law Firm Seeking Full-Time Legal Assistant/Paralegal in Portland, Maine

If so, Drummond Woodsum, a leading law firm in Maine, is looking for a Legal Assistant/Paralegal to join our Municipal Law Group in our Portland office. In this role, you will have the opportunity to work closely with attorneys and support them in a variety of administrative and research tasks, while also gaining valuable experience in the field of municipal law.

Key Responsibilities:

- Provide administrative and research support to attorneys in the Municipal Law Group
- Maintain and organize legal files, records, and documents
- Conduct legal research and analysis on municipal law and related issues
- Draft correspondence and other communications on behalf of attorneys
- Respond to public records requests
- Assist with case management and preparation of legal documents

Qualifications:

- Knowledge of litigation proceedings, municipal law, and local government operations is preferred
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Excellent writing and communication skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and other common software applications
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team
- High level of professionalism and confidentiality
