Job Title: Privacy and Compliance Analyst (Hybrid)
Job Responsibilities:
- Support the law firm's data protection initiatives and processes.
- Conduct various risk assessments, including client risk assessments, data protection impact assessments, and artificial intelligence assessments.
- Carry out investigations, inquiries, and remediation efforts.
- Provide analysis and support for privacy and compliance initiatives, such as privacy by design, data minimization, and continuous improvement of access management and controls.
- Develop and assist with corrective action plans.
- Monitor and audit various law firm processes involving personal information.
- Resolve internal audit findings and ensure operational processes align with compliance requirements.
- Create and maintain procedural documentation for law firm processes and initiatives.
- Participate in data protection controls strategy and the administration of privacy and security controls to support the law firm's regulatory and federal government requirements.
- Serve as a privacy and compliance resource to cross-functional teams and workgroups to continuously identify, improve, and monitor processes designed to mitigate the risk of non-compliance.
- Assist with administrative and operational privacy and compliance program functions.
- Undertake special projects and duties as assigned.

Education and Experience Information:
Required Qualifications & Education:
- Bachelor’s degree required.
- 2-4 years of professional compliance experience, including familiarity with privacy and data protection.
- Strong ability to communicate effectively and collaboratively with clients, internal attorneys, cross-functional teams, leaders, and subject matter experts.
- Strong computer proficiency, particularly in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word) and iManage.
Preferred Qualifications & Education:
- Knowledge or understanding of data protection principles.
- Experience with Governance, Risk, and Compliance (GRC).
- Understanding of Artificial Intelligence (AI) Privacy.
- Law firm experience.
- Industry-standard certification such as CCEP, CIPP, CIPM, or other similar certification.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to sit or stand for extended periods of time.
- Moderate or advanced keyboard usage.
Salary Information:
This position may be filled in Washington, Illinois, District of Columbia, New York, Colorado, or California. The base salary ranges for this position are listed below, which may not be applicable to other locations. An individual's actual compensation will depend on the individual's qualifications and experience. In addition to the base compensation, the law firm provides bonus opportunities and an exceptional benefits package.
- Washington – $74,000 – $112,000/year
- Illinois – $74,000 – $112,000/year
- District of Columbia – $81,000 – $122,000/year
- New York City – $81,000 – $122,000/year
- Colorado – $68,000 – $102,000/year
- California – $81,000 – $122,000/year
