H2: Job Description

- Join **Members Only** as a Patent Agent or Associate in the IP Life Sciences Department at our Boston office
- Prepare and prosecute life sciences patents
- Advanced degree in chemistry, molecular biology, biochemistry, immunology, chemical engineering or related field required (. preferred)
- At least 2 years of experience in life sciences patent preparation and prosecution
- Excellent writing skills and academic/work credentials necessary
- Law degree from an ABA-accredited law school and membership in the Bar in the United States required for lawyer positions

H2: Responsibilities

- Prepare and prosecute life sciences patents
- Conduct legal research and analysis
- Draft patent applications and responses to office actions
- Communicate with clients regarding patent strategy and prosecution
- Work with other attorneys and agents on patent matters
- Stay updated on changes in patent laws and regulations
- Assist with patent litigation and post-grant proceedings

H2: Qualifications

- Advanced degree in chemistry, molecular biology, biochemistry, immunology, chemical engineering or related field required (. preferred)
- At least 2 years of experience in life sciences patent preparation and prosecution
- Law degree from an ABA-accredited law school and membership in the Bar in the United States required for lawyer positions
- Excellent writing skills and academic/work credentials necessary
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Familiarity with patent laws and regulations
- Attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills

H2: Salary and Benefits

- Annualized salary range of $140,000 to $225,000, depending on experience and other job-related factors
- Eligible for discretionary or hours-based bonus
- Eligible for firm's fringe benefits
