Job Title: Senior Engineer, Citrix Platform
Job Responsibilities:
The Senior Engineer, Citrix Platform is tasked with a variety of responsibilities centered around the design, implementation, management, and security of Citrix Virtual Apps and Desktops, NetScaler/ADC, Citrix Cloud/Premise systems, other VDI environments, and VMware/virtualization technologies. Key duties include:
- Leading the design, performance monitoring, tuning, scripting, upgrades, and maintenance of production Citrix systems.
- Testing, upgrading, and migrating virtual environments and components while ensuring adherence to change management and security protocols.
- Troubleshooting applications within a Citrix environment to maintain optimal performance and user experience.
- Serving as a subject matter technical expert in Citrix Virtual Apps and Desktops administration, maintenance, operations, and troubleshooting.
- Staying updated with related technologies to recommend future system enhancements and improve troubleshooting processes.
- Acting as the Subject Matter Expert and accountable owner of the technology.
- Performing other duties as assigned.
Education and Experience Information:
- 8 to 12 years of relevant experience.
- A degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field is preferred, with a Bachelor's degree being advantageous.
- A solid foundation in Citrix Virtual Apps and Virtual Desktops is essential, covering requirements gathering, testing, documentation, installation, and troubleshooting.
- Experience in designing, deploying, and supporting large-scale Citrix environments, including Virtual Applications, Virtual Desktops, Provisioning Server (PVS) deployments, and managing on-premise controllers.
- Strong hardware and software troubleshooting skills.
- Effective communication skills for collaboration with technical and non-technical teams.
- A proactive, self-learning, motivated, results-oriented approach with a positive, team-player attitude.
- Strong technical depth in Citrix virtual desktops, VMware, and Windows Operating Systems.
- Over 10 years of experience in virtual desktop, performance engineering, systems engineering roles.
- Detail-oriented with the ability to handle multiple tasks and heavy workloads efficiently.
- Experience in scripting, PowerShell, Active Directory, Group Policy, SCCM, Certificates (PKI), and application configurations.
- Knowledge of networking fundamentals, including DNS, TCP/IP, tagging, and routing protocols, is preferred.
- Technical IT certifications or experience with related technologies are preferred, such as Citrix Certified Administrator (CCA), Citrix Certified Advanced Administrator (CCAA), Citrix Certified Enterprise Engineer (CCEE), Citrix Certified Integration Architect (CCIA), Azure, and VMware VCP-DCV.
- Compliance with ISO 27001 policies and procedures.
Salary Information:
The anticipated annual salary range for this position varies depending on the location:
- Rochester, NY: $81,000 to $120,450
- Boston, MA: $89,000 to $132,000
- Chicago, IL: $89,000 to $132,000
- Los Angeles, CA: $89,000 to $132,000
- Washington, DC: $89,000 to $132,000
- New York, NY: $98,000 to $145,750
- San Francisco, CA: $98,000 to $145,750
In addition to the standard benefits package, this role may be eligible for additional contingent compensation based on factors such as work performance, geographic location, work experience, education, and qualifications. This contingent compensation is not yet calculable and may be zero in some circumstances.
