Job Title: Lateral Legal Recruiting Manager
Job Responsibilities:
- Manage the full life-cycle of lateral recruitment, focusing on special counsel and associate-level positions across all practice areas.
- Interface with recruiting agencies and partners, handle scheduling, and coordinate onboarding and integration with Talent Management and Conflicts teams.
- Monitor market conditions and trends related to lateral recruitment and suggest process improvements to hiring practices.
- Maintain relationships with recruiters at agencies and search firms, ensuring top talent is submitted to the law firm.
- Perform statistical analysis on hiring trends and attrition, and present progress reports as requested.
- Collaborate closely with Managing Partners to monitor practice group needs and share applications with senior partners for review.
- Assist in coordinating the Visiting Lawyers Program by managing communication between partners, clients, and candidates, including tracking candidates, scheduling interviews, and participating in . Job Fairs.
- Organize meetings between partners and agencies related to recruitment programming.
- Manage vendor relationships, including those involving recruiting technologies.
- Coordinate with other service departments regarding upcoming hires and technology requests.
- Work with Talent Management on onboarding practices.
- Manage events calendar with other constituents.
- Train and coach junior staff and work closely with recruiting teammates when additional support is needed for lateral recruitment.
- Assist non-NY offices with lateral associate recruitment and support partner recruitment as needed on an ad-hoc basis.
- Participate in special projects or other duties within Talent Management, Learning & Development, and Diversity Management Department.
- Adhere to firm and client information security policies to protect firm assets from unauthorized access and report security risks to management.
Education and Experience:
- A is required.
- Seven or more years of recruiting experience is required.
- Recruiting experience at a law firm is strongly preferred but not mandatory.
Salary Information:
- The base salary range for this role is between $160,000 and $180,000.
- The compensation offer considers factors such as skill set, experience level, performance, professional certifications, degrees, and location, as well as the firm's needs.
- The total compensation package may include overtime pay, discretionary bonuses, and other benefits.
