Job Title: Business Development Specialist

Job Responsibilities:
- Oversee and market the BASE (Ballard Academy for Student Entrepreneurs) program, including drafting communication materials.
- Develop relationships with university executives and staff at business schools and entrepreneurial programs to ensure a steady flow of applications.
- Conduct initial reviews of BASE applications.
- Communicate with BASE applicants and those accepted into the program throughout its duration.
- Monitor the quality and satisfaction of each BASE participant through periodic check-ins and maintain a status report for each participant.
- Troubleshoot any issues encountered by BASE clients during the program.
- Assist in transitioning BASE clients to full-time clients post-program.
- Provide proactive and organized business development support to Emerging Companies and Venture Capital (ECVC) attorneys to achieve objectives set in the ECVC business plan.
- Organize, track, and report business development opportunities in the firm’s CRM and discuss outcomes and follow-ups with lawyers.
- Manage and drive pitches, proposals, and client presentation materials.
- Track transactions in the firm’s experience database to ensure accurate profiling.
- Develop and maintain marketing collateral, ensuring materials are always up-to-date.
- Manage award and ranking opportunities and collaborate on drafting related submissions.
- Collaborate closely with the broader marketing and business development team regarding events, sponsorships, and industry initiatives.

Education and Experience Information:
- Undergraduate degree required.
- At least four years of experience in a law firm or another professional services firm.
- Experience in an entrepreneurial or start-up practice is highly preferred.
- Strong proficiency in Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Experience in event coordination, marketing, and/or communications functions is essential.
- Excellent organizational skills, strong interpersonal relations, and effective written and oral communication abilities are required.
- Ability to handle confidential and sensitive information with discretion.
- Ability to work well under pressure and solve problems effectively.
- Capability to organize and prioritize tasks to meet deadlines.
- Some travel may be required.

Salary Information:
- The salary range for this position is from $75,000-$85,000, depending on experience and location.
