Job Title: Litigation Consulting Project Manager
Job Responsibilities:
The Litigation Consulting Project Manager at the law firm is responsible for overseeing and coordinating litigation consulting projects from inception to completion. This role requires working closely with the firm’s Litigation Consultants on various deadline-driven projects, including designing service proposals, scheduling projects, coordinating with clients, managing vendors, and subcontractors related to jury research. Key responsibilities include:
- Facilitating communication within the Litigation Consulting team.
- Overseeing project deadlines, including research, trials, and project deadlines.
- Drafting jury research schedules and creating research plan templates for each project.
- Serving as the main point of contact for clients, providing guidance and quick responses throughout the research process.
- Analyzing trial venues using public databases, selecting venues, analyzing venue demographics, and creating venue analysis reports.
- Researching, contracting, and negotiating with hotels and facilities for hosting research projects, organizing and coordinating facility arrangements, and managing A/V requirements.
- Recruiting mock jurors and ensuring jurisdictional and venue requirements are met.
- Coordinating with client teams to prepare materials required for projects, finalizing materials, and supervising their preparation for use by mock jurors.
- Managing catering and housekeeping needs.
- Setting up initial mock juror sort templates and creating initial sorts for Litigation Consultants.
- Providing remote support for off-site project teams and traveling nationwide for on-site research locations.
- Preparing budget reports post-project and tracking expenses, sending budget reports to lead litigation consultants.
- Coordinating with Client Services to create and distribute marketing materials to clients on-site.
- Informing and reminding client teams of project logistics, material needs, and upcoming deadlines.
- Providing recommendations for research locations and creating research schedules and budgets for proposed projects.
- Managing and supporting special business development projects, activities, and events.
- Maintaining and updating research-generated documents before and after research.
Pre-Trial Research Projects:
- Coordinating pre-trial research projects such as mock trials, focus groups, mock hearings, etc.
- Planning, scheduling, managing, and executing remote, on-site, and off-site mock trial, arbitration, and focus group research.
- Introducing systems and mechanisms for best managing projects.
- Preparing drafts of written questionnaires for mock trial and focus group research, executing initial programming and design of online surveys, and monitoring survey completion.
- Collecting data from research participants and providing on-site coordination, data analysis, data display, and support.
Mock Juror Recruiting:
- Drafting mock juror recruitment screening questionnaires.
- Overseeing survey and market research firms for demographic/geographic surveys and juror recruitment.
- Managing juror recruitment and negotiating costs with market research companies.
- Determining jurisdictional requirements for juror eligibility and managing mock juror incentive payments.
Training and Advocacy Program:
- Assisting Litigation Consultants in executing attorney training programs.
- Locating training/advocacy program facilities and negotiating contracts.
- Managing facility conference rooms, catering, and staffing for each session.
- Coordinating and overseeing Audio/Visual and Graphics arrangements.
- Overseeing assembly of materials for consultant sessions.

Education and Experience Information:
- A Bachelor’s degree is required, preferably in business, organizational leadership, marketing, or social science, or equivalent work experience.
- A minimum of five years of related experience is required.
- Project Management experience is preferred.
- Proficiency in the Microsoft application suite is necessary.
- Experience in statistical analysis using common statistical packages (., SPSS) is strongly preferred, with a willingness to learn if no prior experience.
- Ability to work independently with little supervision.
- Experience in project budgeting, scheduling, billing, and coordinating vendors is preferred.
- Ability to develop systems and use technology for project management.
- High energy to organize, coordinate, and deliver project management and business development initiatives.
- Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information discreetly.
- Demonstrated ability to manage high volume workloads, multi-task, manage priorities, and meet stringent deadlines.
- Superior organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong analytical skills with innovative ideas and problem-solving abilities.
- Flexibility to work occasional early mornings, evenings, and weekends as needed, with additional hours required some weeks.
- Willingness to respond to communications after business hours and travel periodically.
Salary Information:
The salary varies by location, with specific ranges provided for different states:
- Colorado: $64, to $107, annually.
- Montana: $61, to $101, annually.
- Washington DC: $70, to $117, annually.
A discretionary bonus may be available based on performance.
