Job Title: Litigation Consultant

Job Responsibilities:

The Litigation Consultant plays a critical role in providing efficient and insightful substantive input for in-house counsel and external constituents representing national law firms. The position involves handling casework that ranges from highly technical to highly emotional matters, including single-party personal injury cases and complex, multi-party commercial litigation. Key responsibilities include:

- Consulting with counsel on case strategy to enhance the effectiveness of legal arguments and approaches.
- Assisting in the development of opening statements and closing arguments to ensure persuasive and coherent narratives.
- Designing instruments for pre-trial research to gather relevant data and insights.
- Conducting mock research projects, including focus groups and mock trials, to simulate trial conditions and gather valuable feedback.
- Facilitating small group discussions to encourage diverse perspectives and in-depth analysis.
- Performing post-trial interviews to gather insights and evaluate trial outcomes.
- Writing comprehensive research finding reports that summarize data and provide actionable recommendations.
- Creating quantitative data charts following focus group and mock trial research, if not prepared on-site.
- Content-analyzing open-ended responses from focus group and mock trial questionnaires, and creating charts to summarize the content analysis.
- Analyzing both quantitative and qualitative data generated from mock trial and focus group research, and incorporating findings into written reports.
- Designing and drafting survey protocols to ensure robust data collection and analysis.
- Utilizing both traditional statistical and machine learning methods to analyze aggregated proprietary data and develop content for marketing materials and presentations.
- Executing social media analysis of prospective jurors as part of the jury selection process.
- Presenting research findings and recommendations to stakeholders.
- Providing jury selection assistance to ensure an impartial and fair jury.
- Proposing and delivering seminars and training programs to enhance legal skills and knowledge.
- Assisting in delivering in-house Continuing Legal Education (CLE) sessions and litigation training programs.
- Assisting in cultivating existing business relationships and developing new opportunities.
- Conducting witness evaluation and preparation sessions to ensure effective testimony.
- Performing additional duties and tasks as assigned, demonstrating flexibility and commitment to supporting the firm's overall objectives.

Education and Experience Information:

The position requires a Master’s degree in social science or a similar field, with a preference for a . in a social science discipline. Candidates must have proven litigation consulting experience and legal communication training. Additionally, the role demands:

Salary Information:

The law firm offers competitive compensation packages for the Litigation Consultant position, taking into account the candidate’s education, training, and experience, as well as the position's work location, external market, and internal value, including seniority and merit systems, and internal pay alignment. The salary ranges are as follows:

- Colorado: $163, to $272, annually
- Montana: $155, to $259, annually
- Washington, DC: $180, to $300, annually

A discretionary bonus may be available based upon performance.
