Software Engineer
Job Responsibilities:
- Elevate code quality through championing test-driven development, maintaining code hygiene, and promoting clean architecture across the team.
- Lead agile delivery processes including sprint planning, retrospectives, and incremental delivery with a focus on iteration and value delivery.
- Design and implement scalable, robust systems across backend (Python/FastAPI), frontend (React), and cloud infrastructure (AWS).
- Set and uphold high standards for code quality, testing, performance, and maintainability.
- Lead code reviews, design reviews, and engineering discussions to drive technical alignment and ensure well-documented decisions.
- Author and review technical design documents to guide team implementation and maintain clarity over the long term.
- Design systems with fault tolerance, observability, and graceful degradation, and guide the team in applying principles of reliability and operational excellence.
- Lead incident response and learning processes, drive actionable postmortems, and promote a culture of continuous improvement.
- Collaborate with product managers, designers, and other stakeholders to ensure alignment on roadmap priorities and delivery timelines.
Education and Experience Information:
- Experience in software engineering with a focus on building high-quality software.
- Proficiency in Python (FastAPI), React, and AWS.
- Experience in agile environments and leading agile processes.
- Ability to work across the stack to build robust, maintainable solutions.
- Knowledge of test-driven development and clean architecture principles.
- Experience in leading code reviews, design reviews, and technical discussions.
- Ability to design systems with reliability and operational excellence in mind.
- Experience in incident response and promoting continuous improvement.
- Nice to have full-stack or front-end experience, particularly with React.
Salary Information:
The anticipated full-time annualized salary range is $120,000 - $200,000 USD. This range is contingent upon various factors, including relevant experience, market data, job location, and other job-related factors permitted by law.
