Trial Paralegal Duties: Works collaboratively with assigned attorneys and support staff in preparing legal documentation and/or processing transactions. Communicate with clients and expert witnesses regarding upcoming trials. Hires expert witnesses and coordinate inspections of the property at issue. Issue trial subpoenas, when needed. Maintain detailed digital notes of all trial related events. Coordinate expert depositions. Coordinate pre-trial hearings on motions in limine, pending motions for summary judgment and Daubert motions. Coordinate pre-trial mediation. Communicate with appellate counsel regarding pending appeals. Prepares joint stipulation, jury instructions and trial binders; coordinates trial exhibits. Provides general logistical help for purposes of trial. Assists in development and implementation of office systems and trial procedures as needed. Assists with special projects as assigned. Communicates with discovery and team paralegals regarding discovery cutoff deadlines. Communicates with judicial assistants regarding trial dates. Coordinates interpreters and court reporters for purposes of trial. Demonstrates a high level of professionalism in dealing with confidential and sensitive issues. Performs other related duties as assigned by management.

Qualifications: 2-3 years related experience or equivalent. Strong research skills. 4 year degree in relevant course work a plus. Paralegal Certification a plus. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Excellent grammatical and spelling skills. Proficient on Microsoft Word, Outlook and Excel. Commitment to excellence and high standards. Strong organizational, problem-solving, and analytical skills; able to manage priorities and workflow. Strong interpersonal skills. Ability to understand and follow written and verbal instructions Ability to deal effectively with a diversity of individuals at all organizational levels. Good judgement with the ability to make timely and sound decisions Creative, flexible, and innovative team player Ability to work independently and as a member of various teams and committees. Versatility, flexibility, and a willingness to work within constantly changing priorities with enthusiasm. Acute attention to detail. Demonstrated ability to plan and organize projects. Ability to perform diversified clerical functions and basic accounting procedures. Ability to effectively communicate with people at all levels and from various backgrounds. Must be able to speak, read, write, and understand Spanish.
