Job Title: Software Engineer, Legal Prompter - Spanish Speaking
Job Responsibilities:
As a Software Engineer, Legal Prompter - Spanish Speaking, you will be responsible for developing applications that interact with Large Language Models (LLMs) to provide innovative solutions to attorneys in the LATAM market. Your key responsibilities will include:
- Orchestrating LLM-driven experiences to enhance customer satisfaction.
- Developing Python code that interacts with state-of-the-art LLMs.
- Writing, testing, and iterating Spanish prose prompts for LLMs to ensure accurate, legally sound, and contextually appropriate responses.
- Developing Python code that interacts with various data sources and services, including APIs and SQL databases.
- Liaising with legal professionals and other teams within the company to gather and understand requirements.
- Integrating language models into multi-step systems, assessing their performance, and making necessary modifications.
Education and Experience Information:
To qualify for the role of Software Engineer, Legal Prompter - Spanish Speaking, candidates must meet the following requirements:
- High proficiency in written and spoken Spanish, demonstrated through native speaker capability, a BA in the language or equivalent certification, or college-level proficiency in speaking, reading, and writing.
- Legal domain expertise experience in the LATAM legal market, which may include legal practice experience, holding a JD in a non-traditional legal career path, experience as a courtroom interpreter, paralegal, or other legal industry experience.
- One to two years of production-level experience in software engineering on an engineering/product team, preferably at a startup.
- Proficiency in Python, or strong experience in other programming languages if Python skills are low.
- Proficiency with APIs and SQL is a significant advantage.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
- Creative and clear writing skills with experience using large language models through code preferred.
Salary Information:
The base compensation for this role varies across locations, with a range of $70,000 to $130,000 for eligible US locations. This role may also be eligible for an Annual Bonus based on a combination of enterprise and individual performance. Base pay is determined based on several factors, including an individual’s knowledge, skills, and experience, with consideration given to internal equity.
