Job Title: Regional Closing Manager
Job Responsibilities:
The Regional Closing Manager (RCM) plays a pivotal role in the loan closing process and is an integral member of the client team. The primary responsibilities include coordinating due diligence activities within the Loan Administration department and maintaining direct communication with clients regarding scheduling, documentation, and queries related to the closing process. The RCM acts as the main contact for external attorneys, ensuring that all closing documents are prepared for closing and that the deal is accurately funded and boarded. Additionally, the RCM is tasked with issuing the "Clear to Close" notice, signifying that all conditions have been met for the deal to proceed to closure, execute legal documents, and fund the transaction. The RCM is crucial in providing a positive onboarding experience for clients and serves as a key control point to ensure adherence to bank policies and procedures.
Key duties include:
- Direct interaction with clients on all closing-related matters and involving internal partners as necessary.
- Reviewing the closing checklist to ensure completion.
- Managing and communicating the closing timeline and date.
- Determining the need for internal or attorney-prepared documents and engaging attorneys if required.
- Handling legal invoices as necessary.
- Setting up exceptions and approving trailing or missing documents.
- Coordinating with the Funding & Boarding department to execute funding instructions before closing.
- Conducting a post-boarding review and collaborating closely with post-close teams.
Education and Experience Information:
Required Qualifications:
- A Bachelor's Degree or equivalent.
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in Commercial Banking is required.
- Previous experience as a Paralegal or part of a Law Firm is preferred.
Additional Qualifications:
- Client-facing presence.
- Project management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and adapt to changing priorities.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Recommended experience includes prior closing experience, paralegal work (understanding legal language and documents), credit experience, or a strong understanding of banking policies and procedures related to loan closing conditions, documents, and services.
Salary Information:
Compensation for the Regional Closing Manager position starts with a base salary ranging from to per hour. The exact compensation may vary based on skills, experience, and location. The position is eligible for bonuses and/or commissions.
