Job Title: Legal Assistant
Job Responsibilities:
- Attorney Support:
- Take accurate and complete notes during client meetings, calls, and court hearings.
- Transcribe dictation and meeting notes for attorneys.
- Assist attorneys with research and case preparation, including gathering documents and case files.
- Prepare and file legal documents such as petitions, correspondence, and discovery requests.
- Coordinate document signings, ensure notarization, and follow up on outstanding documents.
- Administrative & Office Support:
- Manage attorney calendars, schedule meetings, and coordinate client appointments.
- Handle incoming and outgoing communications, including calls, emails, and mail.
- Maintain and organize client files (both physical and digital), ensuring confidentiality and accessibility.
- Assist in preparing and organizing for client meetings, depositions, and court appearances.
- Provide general administrative support including scanning, copying, and data entry.
- Special Projects & Miscellaneous Duties:
- Assist with special projects as needed, including client intake, document reviews, and team collaboration tasks.
- Monitor and track important deadlines, ensuring tasks are completed on time.
- Help manage billing entries and assist with accounts receivable follow-up when necessary.
Education and Experience Information:
- 1–3 years of experience in a law office or professional services environment, with a focus on attorney support preferred.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Outlook, Excel); experience with legal case management software is a plus.
- Experience using CRMs or legal case management software (., Clio, LEAP, PracticePanther, or similar) is a plus.
Qualifications:
- Excellent note-taking and transcription skills.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Clear communicator with strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Professional, dependable, and able to handle sensitive information with discretion.
- Self-starter with a proactive attitude and the ability to thrive under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
Salary Information:
- Employment Type: Full-Time

- Compensation: $40,000 to $50,000 per year
- Salary Range: $40,000 – $50,000
