Appellate Paralegal The candidate must have 5+ years of substantive paralegal experience, with 2+ years of substantive appellate paralegal experience. Should preferably have: experience managing appellate cases from inception to conclusion; experience conducting basic online research using LexisNexis or Westlaw; experience preparing and filing motions and briefs in state and federal court at the trial and appellate levels; and, a working knowledge of the state and federal rules and internal operating procedures. Must be proficient with LexisNexis or Westlaw. Should also be proficient with Word and pdf, including the ability to create and prepare appendices and indexes, as well as marking cases and other legal authorities in order to automatically general appellate tables of authority. Will be expected to bill a minimum of 1,600 hours annually. Flexibility to work overtime is needed.
