Summary:
The law firm is seeking a Compensation Analyst to join their Human Resources Department. The ideal candidate will have a bachelor's degree in business administration or human resources, along with a minimum of 4 years of experience in compensation or human resources. This position will be responsible for supporting the development, administration, and communication of the firm's compensation policies and programs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct job evaluations and recommend appropriate pay actions
- Organize and participate in compensation surveys to ensure competitiveness in the marketplace
- Analyze survey data to accurately market price positions
- Advise management on compliance issues related to FLSA, EEO classifications, and Affirmative Action Planning
- Assist with the annual compensation review process
- Partner with HR team to update job descriptions and ensure accuracy
- Participate in the configuration and implementation of UKGPro Compensation module
- Analyze external and internal compensation levels to identify potential inequities
- Keep abreast of compensation laws and regulations to ensure firm compliance
- Make recommendations for process improvements and automation
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in business administration or human resources
- Minimum of 4 years of experience in compensation or human resources
- Knowledge of current federal, state, and local compensation laws and regulations
- Strong understanding of compensation practices and trends
- Proficiency in MS Excel and Word
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities
- Exceptional interpersonal skills and ability to handle confidential information
- Strong attention to detail and excellent communication skills
Work Environment and Physical Demands:
This is a full-time position that operates in a clerical, office setting. The employee will primarily use standard office equipment such as computers, phones, and fax machines. The physical requirements for this position include sitting for extended periods of time and occasional walking and standing. The employee must also have close visual acuity for tasks such as data analysis and reading.
