Job Title: IT Strategic Sourcing Manager
Job Responsibilities:
The IT Strategic Sourcing Manager is tasked with overseeing the sourcing activities for a variety of categories, placing a significant emphasis on Information Technology. This includes hardware, software, SaaS, cloud services, professional services, and managed services. The role also involves managing strategic sourcing initiatives for other categories such as Facilities, Office Supplies, Professional Services, Talent Acquisition, and Corporate Services. The manager is expected to:
- Lead sourcing strategies for IT-related categories, including infrastructure, networking, hardware, software licensing, SaaS, cloud, and managed services.
- Assist in contract negotiations.
- Collaborate with IT, Vendor Manager, Leadership, and Stakeholders to explore opportunities and initiate vendor consolidation measures, RFx initiatives, and cost optimization efforts.
- Develop and execute sourcing strategies for non-IT categories, including Facilities (maintenance, equipment, janitorial), Office Supplies, Professional Services (legal, consulting, marketing), and Talent Acquisition (recruiters, job boards, HR tech).
- Partner with internal stakeholders to understand requirements and identify sourcing opportunities.
- Conduct competitive bids (RFx), manage the contract lifecycle, and implement cost-saving initiatives across all assigned categories.
Education and Experience Information:
Candidates for the IT Strategic Sourcing Manager position are required to have:
- A Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain, Finance, IT, or a related field. An MBA or CPSM is considered a plus.
- A minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in strategic sourcing, category management, or procurement, with a strong emphasis on Information Technology and other spend categories.
- Proven success in leading end-to-end RFx processes, including stakeholder alignment, supplier communications, bid evaluations, scoring methodologies, and executive presentations.
- Strong expertise in IT sourcing and procurement practices and experience managing spend across multiple categories.
- Strong contract negotiation skills and experience.
- Proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, and SharePoint.
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, and stakeholder engagement skills.
