Experience Information:
- Teaching experience required
- Minimum 2 years teaching experience preferred, preferably at the higher education level
Job Description:
- Deliver curriculum, provide instruction, and perform student learning assessment for Paralegal Studies courses
- Use instructional and classroom technology effectively to enhance teaching and learning
- Design syllabi, lessons, activities, assignments, and assessments to meet course and program outcomes and address diverse student needs
- Model professionalism and respect for all students
- Comply with legal and ethical obligations, including FERPA and ADA
- Meet all college deadlines for attendance, grades, and data collection
- Communicate effectively and maintain cooperative relationships with colleagues and students

- Use effective teaching strategies to engage students in critical thinking and problem-solving
- Create a positive learning environment that fosters intellectual curiosity and discipline-specific thinking
- Assess student learning through a variety of formative and summative methods

Minimum Qualifications:
- Master of Science in Jurisprudence or Master of Science in Law (MSL)
- Teaching experience
- Proficient in MS Office and Adobe Acrobat
- Excellent communication, detail-oriented, and customer service skills
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively
- Commitment to the college's core values
Preferred Qualifications:
- Juris Doctor (JD)
- Minimum 2 years teaching experience, preferably at the higher education level
- Multicultural competence and proficiency in English and Spanish
- Effective verbal and written communication skills
