Law firm is currently seeking a Legal Administrative Assistant with at least 2 years of experience in a law firm or professional services organization. This is a full-time, hybrid position located in our New York office. The successful candidate will be a member of the Legal Support Services (LSS) team and will provide high quality and efficient legal support services to timekeepers and business professionals within the disputes and transactions verticals. This position requires excellent communication skills, advanced Microsoft Office skills, and the ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team. Responsibilities:

- Provide high quality and efficient legal support services to timekeepers and business professionals within the disputes and transactions verticals
- Collaborate within a team and with other firm departments to provide a broad range of legal and administrative support, including document production and project management
- Maintain professional relationships with clients, business contacts, courts, and professional organizations on behalf of the firm and its lawyers
- Create and edit a variety of legal documents, including agreements, pleadings, spreadsheets, presentations, and reports
- Draft correspondence, emails, and create shell/templates of legal documents
- Plan, coordinate, and maintain lawyer Outlook calendars, including complex travel itineraries
- Communicate timely and effectively with team members and lawyers to ensure seamless support and coverage
- Assist new and existing lawyers and business professionals by maintaining knowledge of firm departments and resources
- Handle various tasks related to monthly billing and timekeeper compliance requirements
- Stay current in technical skills and practice area knowledge by taking online courses and attending meetings and training sessions

Skills and Qualifications:

- High School Diploma required; Bachelor's Degree preferred
- 2 years of administrative experience in a law firm or professional services organization
- Advanced Microsoft Office skills, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team
- Excellent time management, organizational, and problem-solving skills
- Strong attention to detail and ability to proofread for accuracy and content of work
- Knowledge of legal terminology and documentation
- Project management skills and ability to meet deadlines
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and use discretion in handling sensitive information

Physical Demands:

- Sedentary work: Exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally and/or a negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull, or otherwise move objects, including the human body
- Requires regular in-office presence, with some flexibility to work from home upon approval

The expected hiring range for this position is - per hour, depending on the candidate's geographic market location. Non-exempt positions will be paid on an hourly basis and paid overtime in accordance with applicable laws. The compensation offered for employment will also be dependent on other factors, including the candidate's experience, skills, educational and professional background, and overall qualifications.
