# Workers' Compensation Paralegal Morgan & Morgan is a leading law firm dedicated to protecting the people, not the powerful, and are looking for a hardworking and dedicated **Workers' Compensation Paralegal** to join their team. This role will be responsible for various legal duties and will work closely with a lead attorney and legal assistant. Successful candidates must have an Associate degree or higher, certificate, or equivalent work experience, and completion of a nationally accredited paralegal program is preferred. This position comes with competitive pay and a generous bonus plan. ## Responsibilities * Prepare legal documents including pleadings, motions, affidavits, Petitions for Benefits, and legal memoranda * E-file all court documents with OJCC * Communicate with clients, courts, counsel, and other parties relevant to the case files * Conduct legal research and factual investigation * Prepare discovery documents, interrogatories, and responses * Draft and serve summons subpoenas and notices * Coordinate and summarized depositions, (IME and EMA appointments, conference calls) * Prepare trial binders and exhibits with legal assistant * Draft pleadings, motions, and appellate documents to file with the court * Maintain pleadings and discovery indexes * Organize medical composites, exhibits, documents, evidence, briefs, and appendices * Aid attorneys with interrogatories and other discovery requests * Gather and maintain relevant information from a variety of sources (ex: medical records, witnesses, and clients) * Liaise between trial teams and internal and external third parties * Help with witness preparation * Help with case settlements and execution of settlement documents with clients ## Qualifications * Associate degree or higher, certificate, or equivalent work experience * Completion of a nationally accredited paralegal program preferred * Experience in Personal Injury, Workers Compensation, Premises, First Party, Medical Malpractice, or other injury related practice areas preferred * At least 2 years of working experience as a litigation paralegal or in legal services under an attorney or lawyer in a law firm setting * Ability to multitask, organize, prioritize, handle a fast-paced environment, and manage workload with a positive attitude and minimal supervision * Strong written and verbal communication skills, as well as attention to detail ## Salary and Benefits This role comes with competitive pay and a generous bonus plan.
