Job Title: Legal Secretary
Job Responsibilities:
The Legal Secretary will be responsible for various tasks that support the efficient operation of the legal team at the law firm. The key duties include:
- Managing calendars for Partners and Associates, ensuring all appointments, deadlines, and meetings are scheduled and updated regularly.
- Handling court rules, calendaring, e-filing, and filing procedures with proficiency.
- Providing support work that involves a high level of trust and gatekeeping of sensitive documents and external communication.
- Maintaining independent judgment in day-to-day tasks, demonstrating strong problem-solving skills, and ensuring accuracy through proofreading.
- Exhibiting excellent written and verbal communication skills, along with meticulous attention to detail.
- Organizing and/or shifting priorities in a fast-paced environment to meet the demands of the team and clients.
- Performing e-filing in New Jersey, New York, and Pennsylvania (both State and Federal experience is a plus).
Education and Experience Information:
Candidates must possess:
- 3-5 years of experience in a similar role, ideally within a legal setting.
- Strong computer skills, including proficiency with Windows, Microsoft Office Products, File site, and Milana.
- The ability to multitask effectively in a team-structured environment.
Salary Information:
The salary range for the Legal Secretary position is $60,000 to $70,000. The law firm offers a competitive salary along with a benefits package that includes Medical, Dental, Vision, 401K, PTO, Disability, Parental Leave, and Life Insurance.
