Job Title: Manager, Alumni Relations

Job Responsibilities:
The Manager, Alumni Relations is tasked with leading the law firm's alumni relations program in alignment with the firm's strategic plan. The program aims to foster an inclusive community through the Foley Alumni Network, enabling alumni to connect with former colleagues and current firm members. Key responsibilities include:

- Planning and enhancing the alumni program to align with the firm’s strategic objectives.
- Collaborating with sector and department chairs, office managing partners, and the business development and talent teams to develop strategies, action plans, and necessary infrastructure to support program goals.
- Building a comprehensive understanding of the firm’s key clients, sectors, industries, practice groups, and regions to establish thought leadership targeting alumni and enhancing the firm's reputation.
- Developing and managing the alumni relations program budget.

Execution duties encompass:

- Identifying and executing alumni-focused initiatives such as networking events and referral networks that support business development goals across various sectors, practices, industries, and regions.
- Planning and executing campaigns and events to strengthen relationships with firm alumni, including community events, affiliate groups, and tailored Continuing Legal Education (CLE) programs.
- Collaborating with the talent team to identify career opportunities and resources for alumni, leveraging the firm's network.
- Continuously updating alumni information in the firm's Customer Relationship Management (CRM) system using resources like LinkedIn, Profile Synch, and news reports.
- Refining, optimizing, and executing workflows and processes critical to the program’s operational success.
- Regularly preparing and distributing reports on metrics and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), categorized by demographics such as location, industry, sector, and practice group.

Communication responsibilities include:

- Coordinating with the communications team to create a strategy that engages and informs alumni about firm developments and opportunities, potentially through newsletters, thought leadership pieces, spotlight series, speaking opportunities, and social media outreach.
- Refining and promoting the alumni relations program's value proposition and internal marketing materials to clearly communicate its benefits and goals.
- Ensuring the alumni program is recognized as a market leader in the industry.

Education and Experience Information:
- A is required for this position.
- A minimum of ten years of experience in business development, marketing, talent, relationship management, or communications is required.
- Experience in a professional services environment is necessary.
- Prior experience with or a solid understanding of alumni relations programs in professional services is strongly preferred.
- Knowledge of or experience with a CRM system and alumni management software/portal technology is advantageous.

Salary Information:
The law firm provides salary ranges for transparency and equity in the workplace. The full compensation range for this position varies by location:

- Detroit, Milwaukee & Tampa: $113,500 to $170,300
- Chicago, Dallas & Denver: $124,900 to $187,300
- Los Angeles: $130,500 to $195,800
- Boston & Washington .: $136,200 to $204,400

The actual salary offered will be within the range minimum and midpoint, considering factors such as education, experience, geographic market, and internal pay equity at the law firm.
