Department: Billing and Accounts Receivable
Aldridge Pite, LLP, a multi-state law firm with a focus on technology and innovation, is seeking a Billing Specialist - Fee Approval Processor to join their team. As the Billing Specialist - Fee Approval Processor, you will play a crucial role in ensuring timely and accurate billing for a specified group of legal case files. This position requires a minimum of two years of experience in accounting, billing, and/or accounts receivable, with legal billing experience highly preferred.
Key Responsibilities:
- Approving transactions using Phoenix, a legal data management system
- Reviewing transactions for accuracy and verifying pricing
- Requesting fees through client electronic databases
- Resolving discrepancies through interaction with appropriate departments and clients
- Maintaining frequent telephone contact with internal and external clients
- Creating and maintaining daily and monthly reports as requested by management
- Responding timely to inquiries from internal and external clients
- Assisting management in research and special projects
Qualifications:
- Degree in Accounting or related field preferred
- At least two years of work experience in Accounting, Billing, and/or Accounts Receivable
- Legal billing experience highly preferred
- Billing experience with a law firm that has a high transaction volume highly preferred
- Experience with Phoenix highly preferred
- Working knowledge of real estate foreclosure and bankruptcy process
