Job Title: Director of Inventory Management

Job Responsibilities:
The Director of Inventory Management at the law firm is tasked with leading the global strategy for managing inventory, specifically focusing on Unbilled Time and Accounts Receivable. This senior role involves overseeing the entire collections lifecycle and ensuring effective inventory management across all practice groups. Key responsibilities include:

- Leading the collections team to enhance the firm's collections performance while maintaining client relationships according to the firm's standards.
- Developing and implementing policies for managing aged unbilled time, with shared responsibility for adherence to these policies.
- Acting as the primary escalation point for at-risk inventory, collaborating directly with Practice Group Leaders, General Counsel, and clients to resolve high-value or sensitive accounts.
- Working with the CRO, CFO, and Billing Team to achieve cash flow targets, track KPIs, and provide actionable reporting and analysis to Practice Group Leadership and Senior Management.
- Creating and implementing collections strategies and policies tailored to individual client needs, industry best practices, and firm priorities.
- Monitoring partner compliance with firm policies, client guidelines, and ethical considerations regarding billing and collections.
- Providing training and guidance to Partners and legal staff on best practices for managing client receivables.
- Supervising and mentoring collections staff and fostering a client-focused and performance-driven culture.

Education and Experience Information:
- A Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field is required, with an advanced degree or MBA preferred.
- A minimum of 10 years of progressive experience in collections management is necessary, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role within an AmLaw 100 (preferably AmLaw 20) firm.
- Demonstrated ability to work confidently and diplomatically with Partners, C-suite executives, and sophisticated corporate clients is essential.
- The role requires exceptional interpersonal, communication, and client service skills, with a proven ability to influence outcomes while maintaining strong relationships.
- A strategic mindset with hands-on execution skills is crucial.
- Strong understanding of legal billing practices, client guidelines, and accounting principles related to collections and Accounts Receivable is needed.
- Proven ability to lead, motivate, and develop a high-performing team is required.

Salary Information:
The law firm offers a generous total compensation package, including bonuses and raises awarded based on individual merit-based performance. Full-time Business Services employees may participate in the firm's comprehensive benefit program, which includes health and wellness plans, life and disability insurance, flexible spending accounts, a health savings account, a 401(k) plan, a profit-sharing plan, and a substantial Paid Time Off (PTO) program.

Pay Transparency Range:
- New York: Anticipated full-time annualized salary range is $224,000 - $318,000.
- Washington, .: Anticipated full-time annualized salary range is $175,000 - $265,000.

The salary offer will depend on various factors, including relevant experience, internal equity, market data, job location, and other job-related factors permitted by law.
