Job Title: Conflicts Analyst
Job Responsibilities:
The Conflicts Analyst at the law firm is tasked with managing all conflict-related functions, which are crucial during the initial intake of new clients and matters. The role involves producing conflict result reports and aiding in the coordination and documentation necessary for resolving potential conflicts of interest. Key responsibilities include:
- Processing conflict searches for daily new client and new matter requests promptly.
- Conducting detailed corporate research using various search resources, including analyzing and interpreting recent press releases and historical references to entities.
- Reviewing Intapp Open workflow requests to ensure submissions contain key information for proper processing.
- Providing detailed reviews of Conflict Results Reports to identify true potential conflicts based on established team guidelines.
- Conducting necessary research to determine the materiality of potential conflicts when appropriate.
- Researching the Conflicts Database and other firm documents to ensure proper conflict resolution.
- Communicating with appropriate request stakeholders to clear potential conflicts.
- Engaging in daily communication with the Manager regarding the resolution of potential conflicts of interest and any concerns related to pending requests.
- Thoroughly documenting and organizing information regarding the resolution of potential conflicts of interest.
- Maintaining telephone and personal contact with attorneys and staff on conflict of interest matters.
- Tracking the status of outstanding or ongoing Work Flow requests.
- Handling special projects assigned by the Director of Conflicts Operations and Conflicts Managers.
Education and Experience Information:
- A High School Diploma or GED is required; however, a 2- or 4-year degree is preferred.
- Applicants must have 3-5 years of experience, preferably in a professional services environment.
- Previous experience with Intapp is necessary.
- Candidates should have the ability to organize and prioritize numerous tasks under time constraints.
- The role requires the ability to perform effectively with moderate supervision and within established time limits and ongoing deadlines.
- The ability to interact effectively and professionally and provide exceptional service is essential.
- The role demands the ability to respond to requests requiring analysis and decision-making for new clients/matter processing.
Salary Information:
The compensation for the Conflicts Analyst position is commensurate with skill and experience. The exact compensation will differ based on skills, experience, location, and other factors allowed by law. The expected compensation ranges for this position in various states and jurisdictions are as follows:
- State of California: $53,000 - $102,000
- State of Colorado: $49,000 - $88,000
- State of Illinois: $48,000 - $94,000
- State of Massachusetts: $53,000 - $102,000
- State of Maryland: $52,000 - $78,000
- State of Minnesota: $53,000 - $88,000
- Jersey City, NJ: $58,000 - $105,000
- State of New York: $50,000 - $107,000
- State of Vermont: $59,000 - $113,000
- State of Washington: $52,000 - $98,000
- Washington, .: $69,000 - $101,000
These salaries do not include a discretionary bonus, which is non-guaranteed and dependent on individual and firm performance.
