Job Title: E-Billing Specialist

Job Responsibilities:
The E-Billing Specialist is a vital member of the Accounting Department at the law firm, responsible for managing the electronic billing process for clients. Key responsibilities include:

- Submitting invoices through the e-billing system and documenting progress within eHub and eBilling Tracker.
- Reviewing newly opened client matters to determine availability through e-billing websites.
- Monitoring daily e-billing activities, including identifying new invoices and addressing rejections.
- Ensuring successful submission of e-billed clients and resolving any issues related to rejections.
- Assisting attorneys, Client Service Specialists, and clients with e-billing inquiries and concerns.
- Verifying client setup, rates, and billing requirements in the eBilling system.
- Submitting rate requests to vendor sites as necessary.
- Providing updates on invoice status to the Client Billing Manager and Billing Supervisors/Director of Billing.
- Submitting monthly/quarterly accruals as required.
- Collaborating with supervisors and managers to address any e-billing issues.
- Performing other accounting duties and special projects as assigned.

Education and Experience Information:
Education:
- A Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Financial Analysis, Management, or a related field is preferred.
- A high school diploma or equivalent is required.

Experience:
- A minimum of five years of e-billing experience in a law firm or other professional services organization is required.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Proficiency in using various vendor websites and the BillBlast system for electronic billing.
- Prior experience with 3E or Elite accounting systems is strongly preferred.
- Excellent customer service skills.
- Must be self-motivated, detail-oriented, organized, and reliable.
- Ability to multitask and work well independently and in a team environment.
- Strong oral and written communication skills and accuracy are essential.
- Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
- Professional and courteous communication with clients, attorneys, paralegals, and staff.
- Experience with related accounting computer systems and Microsoft Office Suite, including Outlook, Word, and Excel.

Work Environment and Physical Demands:
- The role operates in a clerical, office setting and routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets, and fax machines.

Physical Requirements:
- Sedentary work involving sitting most of the time, with occasional walking and standing required. Ability to exert physical strength to lift, carry, push, pull, or move objects up to 10 pounds.

Visual Acuity:
- Close visual acuity is required for activities such as preparing and analyzing data, transcribing, viewing a computer terminal, and extensive reading.
