Job Title: Litigation Manager (Enterprise Litigation)

Job Responsibilities:
- Lead and guide outside counsel in crafting litigation strategies for sophisticated cases.
- Collaborate and facilitate cross-functional teams in the development and implementation of litigation solutions.
- Guide the business on strategy for case resolution and offer solutions to manage litigation risk.
- Manage legal cases that are high profile or high exposure, potentially involving Executive Committee (EC) and/or Board of Directors (BoD) awareness and significant enterprise impact.
- Formulate, communicate, and brief case strategies to internal legal teams and/or business leaders.
- Prepare case evaluations and requests for settlement authority in cases with significant enterprise impact.
- Conduct research on moderately complex to complex cases and integrate information to form and submit responses to legal and regulatory requests.
- Conduct case activities including investigating facts, creating a litigation plan, reviewing and revising pleadings, and representing the company at mediations and trials.
- Review and analyze files, policies, company documents, and witness statements to evaluate exposure, respond to discovery requests, and assist counsel in case strategy.
- Analyze demographic and statistical data to mitigate risk.
- Participate in the legal discovery process, including preparing materials for production, deposition preparation sessions, depositions, and assisting in the identification and preparation of witnesses for depositions and trials.
- Create Legal Hold documents and monitor the E-Discovery process to ensure compliance with State and Federal Rules.
- Identify opportunities, synthesize analyses, identify root causes, and provide recommendations that influence litigation case solutions.
- Act as a liaison with internal and external counsel, management, and other external parties, applying proficient knowledge of litigation processes.
- Provide input and expertise on cases within a single Company Operating Segment Area (CoSA) and may assist on cases impacting multiple CoSAs.
- Research, form responses, and submit to legal and regulatory requests under minimal attorney supervision.
- Provide insight on issues and process improvements.
- Serve as a resource to team members, others in the General Counsel's office, and business clients.
- Ensure risks associated with business activities are effectively identified, measured, monitored, and controlled in accordance with risk and compliance policies and procedures.

Education and Experience Information:
- Bachelor's degree; OR 4 years of related experience may be substituted in lieu of a degree.
- 4 years of experience in litigation as a paralegal handling complex litigation or relevant work.
- Proficient knowledge of relevant statutes, case law, and regulations in the relevant discipline.
- Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Office tools, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Proficient knowledge of relevant enterprise discipline, such as labor & employment or P&C, Bank, etc.

Preferred Qualifications:
- Four plus years of active participation in mediations, depositions, witness preparations, contested judicial hearings, and trials.
- Experience with multiple litigation areas, such as first-party insurance bad faith, class actions, or other complex commercial litigation.
- Experience with e-Discovery and litigation holds.
- Experience with case strategy development and implementation of litigation solutions.
- US military experience with skills related to specific Military Occupational Specialties (MOS).

Salary Information:
- Compensation range: $77,120 - $147,390.
- Employees may be eligible for pay incentives based on overall corporate and individual performance and at the discretion of the company's Board of Directors.
- Actual salary may vary by location based on experience and market data of the position.
