Job Title: Sr. Paralegal, Contract Manager
Job Responsibilities:
- Manage end-to-end legal support for contract intake and negotiations across all departments within the company. The primary mission is to ensure compliance, mitigate risk, and support business goals by driving effective contracting processes.
- Oversee the intake of vendor contract requests and maintain appropriate tracking, reporting, and storage of these contracts.
- Draft and negotiate various vendor contracts, including non-disclosure agreements, testing distribution and supply agreements, master products and services agreements, master consulting agreements, data processing agreements, statements of work, order forms, facilities agreements, and hotel and event agreements.
- Provide accurate and helpful risk assessments and work proactively to develop solutions to complex problems. High-risk issues should be escalated to the supervising attorney as necessary.
- Support the Request for Proposal (RFP) process by ensuring stakeholders understand timelines and critical legal requirements.
- Develop expertise in compliance with internal policies governing the collection and use of customer data. Support efforts to ensure customer data is collected and processed in compliance with applicable data privacy laws.
- Work cross-functionally with stakeholders to ensure contracts comply with internal company standards.
- Participate in special projects to support corporate and restaurant technology initiatives as requested.
- Ensure ongoing alignment with internal teams through regular meetings, email communications, training/coaching, and by measuring and sharing results.
- Undertake other assignments and tasks as delegated by the Chief Legal Officer.
Education and Experience Information:
Education/Certifications:
- A Bachelor’s Degree is required.
- Paralegal certification is preferred.
Experience:
- A minimum of 4 years of paralegal experience in a law firm or law department is required, with in-house experience preferred.
- A mindset focused on providing risk assessments and real-world solutions is essential. The candidate should be capable of supporting a large number of business stakeholders and understanding their needs and goals, tolerance for risk, and the roles and skills of team members.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills are necessary.
- The ability to build individual relationships and communicate with leadership as needed is important.
- Experience in managing outside counsel/consultant relationships is required.
- A high level of personal and professional integrity and the ability to establish personal credibility within the department and organization is crucial.
- Comfort working in a fast-paced, evolving environment with high expectations for excellence is necessary.
