Responsibilities:
- Draft legal documents such as affidavits, pleadings, and correspondence
- Prepare for trial by conducting legal research and organizing exhibits
- Manage law office activities and maintain an organized case filing system
- Conduct client interviews to gather information about legal matters
- Assist lawyers with trial preparation, including coordinating witnesses and filing motions
Qualifications:
- 3+ years of experience as a Family Law Paralegal in Texas
- Paralegal professional certification or advanced paralegal education preferred
- Valid Texas Driver's License and automobile insurance required
- Clear communication skills and positive attitude necessary
- Proficiency in MS Office and legal software
- Strong organizational and time-management skills
- Excellent interpersonal skills and proficiency in writing and grammar
- ABA-approved paralegal certificate program or Bachelor's degree desired
- 3 years of experience in a law firm setting
Compensation:
- Hourly rate of $28-$30, dependent on experience
