Job Title: Bankruptcy Processor
Job Responsibilities:
The Bankruptcy Processor at the law firm is primarily tasked with handling various aspects of bankruptcy processing, focusing on Payment Change Notices (PCN). Responsibilities include reviewing and determining if a payment change is warranted, obtaining necessary documentation, preparing the payment change notice for attorney review, and subsequently filing and serving the notice. The processor is also responsible for updating applicable client systems with any changes. A critical aspect of the role involves monitoring the Payment Change Impediment Inventory and following up on any impediments until they are resolved. The processor must regularly monitor reports generated both within the law firm's system and the client’s system to ensure that files are handled efficiently and in a timely manner. Additional tasks include verifying billing entries and closing files as needed. The role requires the performance of any other duties as assigned.
Education and Experience Information:
A high school diploma is required for this position. While not mandatory, a basic understanding of the fundamentals of Chapter 7, 11, and 13 bankruptcies is highly preferred, suggesting that some familiarity with bankruptcy law or experience in a related field would be beneficial.
