Duane Morris LLP, a leading global law firm with over 800 attorneys, is seeking an experienced IP Docketing Specialist to join our Intellectual Property Practice Group. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

- Calendars important dates related to patent and trademark application filings, formalities, office actions, and maintenance fees
- Downloads electronic correspondence from USPTO, foreign patent offices, or foreign agents and files into document management system
- Distributes incoming correspondence to appropriate attorney teams
- Prepares docket reports and proactively monitors deadlines
- Reviews and updates docketing database with supervisor's guidance
- Assists with new client intakes and transfers
- Participates in IP practice group and docketing team meetings
- Provides backup support to other docketers as needed
- Performs other tasks as assigned

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

- High school diploma or equivalent
- Minimum of 3 years experience in IP docketing or related work
- Thorough understanding of domestic and foreign patent and trademark prosecution and lifecycles
- Familiarity with various patent and trademark offices
- Knowledge of docketing terminology, best practices, and patent & trademark laws
- Ability to independently determine priority dates, calculate due dates, and verify terms in docketing database
- Experience working with docketing databases, preferably Patricia
- Familiarity with patent and trademark office websites such as EFS-Web, Public PAIR, Private PAIR, TEAS, TSDR
- Strong computer skills and ability to analyze data
- Attention to detail, time management skills, problem-solving mindset, and collaborative spirit
