Job Summary:
The Trademark Docketing Specialist plays a crucial role in supporting attorneys, specialists, paralegals, and other team members in the Trademark group. This position involves handling docketing functions, data entry, updating records, tracking deadlines, reporting, and client record onboarding. The ideal candidate must have a minimum of 3 years of trademark docketing experience and be knowledgeable in docketing software such as WebTMS and PATTSY Wave.
Key Responsibilities:
- Review and process a high volume of e-mail, mailings, correspondence, and pleadings related to trademark matters from the USPTO, clients, and foreign counsel.
- Maintain docket for trademark attorney's cases using a web-based docketing system.
- Scan and save documents to the correct client/matter folder and forward them to the appropriate legal team.
- Prepare and distribute monthly/weekly/final deadline docket reports to each attorney/client team.
- Keep a thorough record of all docketed items to resolve any questions or discrepancies.
- Coordinate with attorneys regarding law changes and local rules to ensure accurate docketing.
- Assist with other docketing related duties, reports, and special projects as needed.

- Knowledge of docketing software such as WebTMS, PATTSY Wave, or equivalent.
- Excellent interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills.
- Familiarity with US and foreign trademark prosecution process and relevant documents.
- Ability to interface with USPTO, WIPO, and other websites regarding trademark matters.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to work effectively with personnel at all levels of seniority within the firm.
- Aptitude for understanding databases and software.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to sit, stand, and walk for extended periods of time.
- Lift, carry, and move weights of at least ten (10) pounds.
- Repetitive wrist/hand/finger movement to work on a computer.
- Clear and concise speech.
- Ability to understand the speech of others.
