Job Title: Legal Assistant
Job Responsibilities:
- Drafting correspondence and typing and formatting legal documents.
- Opening, organizing, managing, and closing files.
- Assisting attorneys with research and preparation for trials and hearings.
- Highly proficient in scheduling meetings, managing calendars, and making and/or changing travel arrangements.
- Effectively communicating with witnesses, clients, colleagues, and partners.
- Performing general administrative tasks.
Education and Experience Information:
- A minimum of four years of experience in a litigation support role is strongly preferred.
- Experience in the practice areas of Business Services, Commercial Real Estate Transactions, General Litigation, Foreclosure, and Bankruptcy is strongly preferred.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and legal document management software is required.
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills are necessary.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team is essential.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are required.
