Job Responsibilities
The Paralegal will support the law firm’s immigration practice in a bustling downtown office. The core duties of the position include:
- Preparing and filing nonimmigrant visa petitions, including but not limited to H-1B, individual and L-1 Blanket L-1, TN, O-1, E-2, and E-3 visas.
- Preparing and filing immigrant visa petitions, such as EB-1 Extraordinary Ability, EB-1 Priority Worker petitions, EB-2 and EB-3 petitions, and EB-5 petitions.
- Preparing and filing Naturalization applications, re-entry permit applications, and abandonment applications.
- Preparing and filing Labor Certification Applications under the PERM program.
- Preparing and filing family-based petitions.
- Preparing and filing Immigrant Visa Petitions at . Consulate posts.
Education and Experience Information
Qualified candidates must have a minimum of 5 years of immigration paralegal experience. Additionally, candidates must be bilingual in English and Spanish, demonstrating professionalism, confidentiality, initiative, flexibility, and organizational and customer service skills. Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook, as well as knowledge and 2+ years of experience with electronic document management systems and immigration case management software, are required. Filesite experience is preferred.
Salary Information
Actual salaries will vary depending on various factors, including relevant experience and skillset. The salary range is one component of the law firm's total compensation package for employees. Other monetary rewards include annual discretionary bonuses based on performance and profit-sharing contributions based on eligibility and firm profitability.
