Job Title: Remote Paralegal (Insurance Defense)
Job Responsibilities:
The law firm is seeking a Paralegal with a minimum of five years of experience in insurance defense to join their busy Las Vegas office. The position is remote and full-time, requiring the candidate to be organized, detail-oriented, experienced, hard-working, enthusiastic, and team-oriented. The role is a billable position with an annual requirement of 1,750 billable hours. Key responsibilities include:
- Preparing draft discovery and discovery responses
- Preparation of subpoenas
- Procuring and following up on medical records requests
- Performing investigative background checks on parties involved in cases
- Conducting social media research
- Corresponding with expert witnesses
- Performing other similar paralegal duties
Education and Experience Information:
Candidates must have a minimum of five years of experience in insurance defense and be familiar with Nevada Civil Rules. Proficiency in Microsoft Office products, particularly Microsoft Word, is required. Excellent communication, typing, computer, and interpersonal skills are necessary, along with a professional appearance. Experience in multiple states is considered a plus.
Salary Information:
The position offers a salary range of $50,000 to $70,000 per year.
