Job Title: Information Governance Retention & Disposition Analyst

Taft, Stettinius & Hollister LLP, a top-tier law firm with over 1,000 attorneys and a team of approximately 1,775, is seeking an Information Governance Retention & Disposition Analyst to join our team in one of our offices located in Chicago, Cincinnati, Cleveland, Columbus, Dayton, Denver, Detroit, Indianapolis, or Minneapolis. This individual will work closely with our Information Governance team to support our Retention & Disposition program and ensure the successful management of client and firm information.
Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with the IG retention & disposition team, IG leadership, and Information Management onsite operations teams to execute policies and processes for retention & disposition of firm and client information
- Use Taft’s information tracking/management tools to facilitate the collection, review, retention, and disposition of physical and electronic information
- Coordinate with relevant Taft personnel to ensure the correct identification, indexing, and management of physical collections
- Complete preliminary reviews for disposition of electronic information
- Perform database searches, audits, and close-out reviews to ensure compliance with Taft policies
- Utilize technology and security measures to transfer information out of Taft systems
- Serve as a trainer and resource for questions related to retention & disposition of information
- Assist with information clean-up projects
- Coordinate with other Taft teams to manage data into various systems
- Troubleshoot retention & disposition issues and report solutions
- Handle special projects and additional duties as assigned by management
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree
- Experience in a professional environment
- Strong customer service skills and ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite
- Ability to access, input, and retrieve information from computer systems
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong organizational and critical thinking skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Ability to meet tight deadlines and report progress and challenges
- Ability to handle confidential information securely
- Ability to lift up to 30 pounds
