Job Title: Labor and Employment Associate
Job Responsibilities:
- The candidate will be part of the Labor and Employment Class Action group at the law firm.
- Engage in employment-related and/or class action litigation with a focus on trial work.
- Defend against employment discrimination claims, EEOC/DOL claims, and wage and hour claims, including class action lawsuits.
- Counsel employers regarding compliance with federal and state employment laws.
- Draft workplace policies and assist clients with various employment issues.
- Collaborate with a collegial team of employment law professionals within the law firm.
Education and Experience Information:
- The candidate should have 4-6 years of substantive experience in employment-related and/or class action litigation.
- A strong background in defending employment discrimination and wage and hour claims is desired.
- Experience with EEOC/DOL claims and class action lawsuits is preferred.
- Required to have a background in counseling employers on federal and state employment law compliance.
- Must be skilled in drafting workplace policies and addressing employment issues for clients.
- Superior academic credentials are required.
- Strong research and writing skills are necessary.
- TX bar admission is required.
