Job Responsibilities:
- Ensure that policies and procedures are followed daily, adhering to client instructions and firm guidelines.
- Monitor and manage deadlines for . and international dockets, ensuring timely responses by coordinating with attorneys, clients, and management.
- Review daily docket reports and communicate with the IP docket department.
- Prepare and file various trademark applications and related documents with the USPTO under attorney supervision.
- Manage the recordation of assignments and name changes both in the . and internationally.
- Act on client instructions and draft responses related to US, WIPO, and foreign applications.
- Create and maintain electronic worksheets to assist attorneys in managing client requirements.
- Provide support for Trademark Trial and Appeal Board proceedings and appeals.
- Conduct routine trademark clearance searches and review trademark watch notices.
- Review advertising and marketing materials for proper trademark usage and accuracy.
- Maintain the firm’s official file using the document management system.
- Track and record client-billable time to meet minimum billable hour requirements.
- Maintain and prioritize daily work responsibilities, communicating any inability to meet them.
- Demonstrate teamwork skills across practice groups and offices to facilitate efficient legal service delivery.
- Participate in training and professional development for other paralegals.
- Effectively use USPTO and other government agency electronic resources.
- Provide backup support to team members as needed.
- Manage workflow and communicate with the IP Service Assistant team.
Education and Experience Information:
- A Bachelor’s degree is required, or a combination of specialized training, education, and experience demonstrating the ability to perform the job duties.
- A Paralegal Certificate from an ABA-recognized program is preferred.
- A minimum of five years of progressive trademark prosecution experience, which includes docket management, application filings, and prosecution.
- Trademark pharmaceutical experience is beneficial.
Salary Information:
Compensation is dependent on several factors such as position, location, education, training, and/or experience.
Hiring Salary Range: $105, - $125,

- The position includes an annual billing component of 1500 hours.
