With locations in New York, Washington ., and Silicon Valley, Freshfields is seeking a Client Value Analyst to join their global Finance team and contribute to the firm's success.
In this role, the Client Value Analyst will serve as a business partner to engagement partners and their teams, providing pricing and budgeting support for clients, managing inventory, ensuring timely billing and collections, and providing insight and reporting on client and matter profitability. The ideal candidate will have experience as a business partner in a professional services firm, knowledge of the legal market and services, and the ability to communicate clearly at all levels.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide pricing support by proposing alternative fee arrangements and modeling staffing scenarios to deliver efficient client value.
- Develop budgets and forecasts for engagements and monitor actual time and cost investments against recovery.
- Manage inventory by providing timely updates on time recording, WIP conversion, and cash collection, and taking corrective action when necessary.
- Oversee complex billing requirements, such as multi-jurisdiction and e-billing, and coordinate with partners for billing and credit control.
- Provide commercial finance insight and guidance by partnering with key stakeholders to maximize financial performance for practice groups.
- Collaborate with Finance and other Business Services teams to ensure service delivery and SLAs are met.
- Support practice management with setting and monitoring performance targets for practice groups.
- Champion continuous improvement by seeking opportunities to increase efficiency and effectiveness in service delivery.
Key Requirements:
- Experience as a business partner in a professional services firm, providing data-driven analysis and insights.
- Knowledge of the legal market and products/services.
- Ability to communicate clearly at all levels.
- Experience working within a matrix structure and Global Shared Services environment preferred.
- Experience working within a leading international law firm preferred.
Salary Information:
- Freshfields is required by law to include a reasonable estimate of the compensation range for this role, specific to the States of New York and California.
- The disclosed range estimate is $100,000 to $140,000, and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case.
- Salary is commensurate with skill sets, experience and training, licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs.
