Job Title: Counsel
Job Responsibilities:
- Draft, review, and negotiate various contract types, including services agreements, insurance agreements, benefits administration agreements, business associate agreements, confidentiality agreements, consulting agreements, and vendor agreements.
- Rapidly assess potential legal risks, benefits, and consequences of decisions, presenting alternatives and proposing solutions to achieve business objectives while skillfully managing legal and practical business considerations.
- Provide daily contract support and lead coordination and partnership with cross-functional teams to achieve business objectives and leverage strong organizational and task efficiency skills to meet contract targets and deadlines.
- Develop and maintain productive relationships with internal and external clients.
- Assist with the preparation of proposals (., RFP responses) to prospective clients.
- Escalate issues to management as necessary.
Education and Experience Information:
- JD from an accredited institution; admitted and in good standing to practice law in at least one state.
- Five or more years of commercial contracting experience.
- Strong legal contracting background.
- Excellent judgment and integrity with the ability to think strategically and give timely, effective, and practical general corporate and commercial legal advice.
- Ability to work independently and proactively, including in work-from-home environments.
- Ability to work and communicate with colleagues and business clients in a professional, ethical, and positive manner as a team player.
- Insurance, health insurance, employee benefits, Medicare, financial, privacy and/or regulatory background is a plus but not required.
Salary Information:
- The salary compensation range being offered for this role is $130, to $140,. This role is also eligible for an annual short-term incentive bonus.
