Are you a highly motivated and detail-oriented individual with experience in business development strategy? Do you have a passion for building relationships and driving revenue opportunities? If so, we invite you to apply for our Manager, Business Development role at our global law firm.
As a member of our US Business Development team, you will play a crucial role in executing strategic initiatives that promote our firm's corporate, M&A, private equity, and securities capabilities. You will work closely with our practice group lawyers and team members to generate new client relationships, enhance our brand profile, and drive revenue growth.

Key Responsibilities:
- Work with practice team leadership to develop and produce materials that promote our corporate, M&A, private equity, and securities capabilities in line with our strategic growth objectives.
- Identify and pursue opportunities for new client relationships, brand enhancement, and revenue growth.
- Analyze and develop engagement opportunities with targets based on plans and market awareness.
- Coordinate with partners to develop and publicize outcomes and thought leadership.
- Manage the production process for external communications.
- Mentor and coach team members on best practices.
- Utilize marketing communications channels to raise awareness of our capabilities and industry strengths.
- Track and analyze client engagement activities.
- Plan and implement industry conference sponsorships, client presentations, and other events.
- Draft and coordinate submissions for legal directories and surveys.
- Manage internal presentations and communications.
- Update intranet content.
- Monitor and approve marketing-related expenses.
- Coordinate resources and materials for internal team meetings.
- Assist with lateral integration and onboarding.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- 8+ years of experience in professional services, preferably in a law firm.
- Bachelor's degree required.
- Demonstrated experience in business development strategy.
- Solid business acumen and ability to analyze business and legal trends.
- Experience in corporate M&A and securities, with knowledge of financial institutions and energy sectors a plus.
- Proactive and innovative with excellent relationship building and interpersonal skills.
- Empathetic leader with the ability to build trust with internal clients.
- High degree of intellectual curiosity and ability to learn and integrate firm resources and technologies.
- Professional presence with the ability to interact and collaborate with lawyers, other professionals, and staff.
- Strong problem-solving, organizational, and time-management skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Clear and concise communication skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Suite, with experience in CRM and experience management systems a plus.
- Ability to promote and demonstrate our business principles of quality, unity, and integrity.

- Full-time base annual salary expected to range between $140,000 and $180,000 in Chicago and New York City markets.
