Practice Group Director - High-Level Strategic and Operational Support for Faegre Drinker's Practice Management Team

Faegre Drinker, a leading law firm with offices in Philadelphia, Indianapolis, Minneapolis, Chicago, and Washington ., is seeking a Practice Group Director to join our dynamic team. This position offers the opportunity to work with talented individuals in a flexible and high-performing culture, with a focus on providing exceptional service to our clients. As a Practice Group Director, you will have the chance to share your expertise and contribute to the firm's success through various initiatives and projects.

Key Responsibilities:

- Facilitate recruitment, onboarding, integration, retention, and development of attorneys in assigned practice groups
- Collaborate with professional development, recruiting, and office leaders to address hiring needs and make recommendations to management
- Lead and facilitate aspects related to lawyer departures and transitions
- Monitor workload balancing and assignments for attorneys and oversee/manage secondments and alternative work arrangements
- Participate in the partner promotion process and collaborate with professional development
- Oversee practice group efforts to ensure operational effectiveness, profit growth, and innovation in service delivery, matter management, and pricing/AFAs
- Facilitate the implementation of short and long-term strategic initiatives with other leaders
- Serve as a coach/trusted advisor to leaders and partners on group and individual plans
- Collaborate with marketing, finance, and pricing professionals to ensure profitable growth and client satisfaction
- Special projects and other duties as assigned

Key Requirements:

- Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or related field, with 8+ years of relevant experience in a professional services environment, preferably a law firm
- Experience in finance and/or professional development
- Strong project management skills and experience with budget development and management
- Outstanding managerial, coaching, and influencing skills, with the ability to develop strong relationships with senior-level partners and other professionals at various levels across the firm

Salary Information:

The anticipated initial annual salary range for this position is $155, - $210,. Actual salary may vary based on skills, experience, and location, and is just one component of our total compensation and benefits package, which includes a discretionary bonus, insurance coverage, and a 401(k) plan.
