Job Title: Client Funds Analyst

Job Responsibilities:
The Client Funds Analyst is tasked with managing the administration, analysis, and compliance of all client funds held in law firm-managed escrow accounts. This includes handling unapplied funds and client credits, ensuring that all transactions comply with applicable state regulations and law firm policies. The role involves:

- Managing escrow account balances to ensure alignment with state regulations and law firm policies.
- Preparing and maintaining documentation necessary for annual filings, as well as internal and external audits.
- Identifying and analyzing stale client retainer balances and initiating resolution steps.
- Communicating directly with clients to reconcile unapplied funds and client credits in a timely and professional manner.
- Conducting monthly analyses of inactive client funds and presenting findings to the Revenue Manager, while participating in quarterly reviews with the Director of Financial Operations.
- Processing client-related financial transactions, such as retainers, settlements, and third-party payments.
- Preparing and verifying outgoing wire instructions for client fund disbursements, adhering to approval protocols and internal controls.
- Managing escheatment processes for dormant trust balances in accordance with state unclaimed property laws.
- Supporting collections, cash application, and billing efforts as needed.
- Responding to internal and external documentation requests, including invoices, W-9 forms, and wire instructions.
- Performing other duties and projects as assigned.

Education and Experience Information:
- A minimum of 2–4 years of recent experience in escrow management and/or accounts receivable is required.
- Prior experience in a law firm or legal services environment is preferred.
- A solid understanding of general accounting principles and financial compliance is essential.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and Outlook, is necessary.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills are needed to effectively interact with internal stakeholders and external clients.
- High attention to detail, along with strong organizational and analytical skills, is crucial.
- The ability to adapt to changing priorities and manage multiple time-sensitive tasks is required.
- Technological adeptness, with the ability to recommend and implement process improvements, is advantageous.
- Excellent interpersonal skills, with the capability to build effective relationships at all levels of the organization, are important.
- The ability to perform all essential job duties reliably and accurately is a must.
