Job Title: Business Development Coordinator

Job Responsibilities:

The Business Development Coordinator plays a crucial role in supporting the Business Development team at the law firm. The coordinator's responsibilities include implementing specific marketing and business development strategies through various tasks such as research and analysis, reporting, marketing communications, content administration, and organizing events and presentations. Key duties involve:

- Distributing firm memoranda and maintaining communication of professional and community services, along with related client alerts.
- Maintaining website content, including partner biographies, and ensuring the consistency of business development and communication materials across multiple channels.
- Keeping track of deal and case experiences and managing engagement databases and related data systems.
- Assisting in preparing directory submissions and survey responses for legal and business directories and publications.
- Supporting the development and maintenance of promotional marketing materials to bolster the firm's business development initiatives.
- Preparing and maintaining promotional materials like brochures, practice area descriptions, rankings, quotes, advertisements, posters, and flyers, in collaboration with graphic designers and external vendors when needed.
- Assisting in the distribution of various marketing materials and firm communications, such as event invitations, ranking submissions, presentation notifications, press releases, and web-related content.
- Managing data within the firm’s contact database.
- Providing competitive intelligence reports and analysis, conducting research through database searches, industry resources, and networking as directed.
- Assisting with firm-sponsored events and presentations.
- Collaborating with the team on drafting pitches, proposal materials, and presentations when required.
- Working with stakeholders in other departments and offices as needed.
- Supporting business development projects and other firm initiatives as required.
- Performing additional duties as needed.

Education and Experience Information:

Required Qualifications:
- A Bachelor’s degree is required for this position.

Preferred Qualifications:
- A major in Advertising, Marketing, Communications, Public Relations, or a related field is preferred.

Required Experience:
- Applicants should have 2-4 years of relevant business experience.

Preferred Experience:
- Previous experience in a law firm, marketing, or professional services field is preferred.

Required Skills:
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a competitive and demanding environment.
- Strong attention to detail and self-motivation to produce accurate, timely, and complete work.
- Proficiency in written and verbal communication, along with excellent research and analytical skills.
- Strong project management skills, initiative, and the ability to manage multiple projects concurrently.
- Ability to leverage institutional knowledge in their work.
- Introductory knowledge of the full range of business development skills.
- Proficiency in MS Office programs such as Outlook, Word, and Excel.
- Flexibility and willingness to work overtime as needed.

Preferred Skills:
- Familiarity with Content Pilot’s suite of products or other experience databases.
- Experience in updating and maintaining a website.
- Experience using a Client Relationship Management (CRM) system.

Salary Information:

For applicants based in New York, the estimated base salary range for the Business Development Coordinator position is $65,000 to $80,000 at the time of posting. The actual salary offered will depend on a variety of factors, including the qualifications of the individual applicant, years of relevant experience, level of education attained, certifications or other professional licenses held, and, if applicable, the location in which the applicant lives and/or from which they will be performing the job. This role is non-exempt, meaning it is eligible for overtime pay.
