In this role, you will provide support to multiple attorneys, ensuring their schedules are optimized and all tasks are completed efficiently and accurately. Responsibilities:
Effectively manage attorney schedules, appointments, calls, and correspondence to optimize their time.
Maintain accurate and timely docketing of deadlines.
Schedule virtual and in-person depositions, meetings, and other attorney activities.
Assist in drafting legal documents and correspondence.
Prepare and file pleadings, briefs, and other court submissions.
Type, proofread, and format various legal documents.
Organize exhibits and materials for depositions and court proceedings.
File documents electronically and in physical form in state and federal forums.
Review and follow up on client deadlines and appointments.
Maintain client and office files.
Assist with the billing process and travel arrangements.
Establish new matters and maintain engagement agreements.
Provide support and assistance to attorneys as needed.
Qualifications:
Minimum of 7 years of experience as a litigation practice assistant with a well-established firm.
Knowledge of Federal Rules of Civil Procedure and Pennsylvania Rules of Civil Procedure.
Strong organizational and communication skills.
Detail-oriented with the ability to multitask effectively.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365, iManage Work, Adobe, and other legal software.
Ability to maintain client privacy and document security.
Experience working collaboratively in a team environment.
Accurate typing speed of at least 70 words per minute.
Experience with BigHand and data management preferred.
Degree preferred, but relevant work experience will be considered.
