Job Title: AR Supervisor
Job Responsibilities:
- Supervise a team of AR Specialists and manage their day-to-day workflow.
- Analyze, develop, and track key performance indicators to ensure team accountability.
- Act as a liaison between the AR Specialists and other internal teams or departments, such as billing/eBilling, rates, conflicts, and billing attorneys.
- Participate in the recruitment process, including interviewing and training new hires.
- Responsible for daily collection workflows based on assigned billing attorneys or clients.
- Assist with recruiting, interviewing, onboarding, and training of new candidates or staff.
- Provide constructive and timely annual performance evaluations.
- Process write-offs pertaining to accounts receivable and document the detailed reasoning behind such write-offs.
- Escalate issues with clients, payors, or billing attorneys to firm management to minimize financial risks.
- Prepare collection procedures as defined and trained; monitor and pursue outstanding accounts receivable balances.
- Thoroughly document and record actions taken on collection efforts and new updates received on an ad hoc basis.
- Create appropriate follow-ups and establish payment arrangements or settlements of aged accounts receivable according to the firm's policy.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Education and Experience Information:
- An Associate's Degree in a related field is required, with a Bachelor's degree in a related field considered a plus.
- At least five years of collections experience in the legal industry is required.
- At least two years of experience within a supervisory role is considered a plus.
- Knowledge of the Federal Fair Debt Collections Practices Act, California Collections Laws, and Legal Process is required.
- Proficiency in data analysis, strong negotiation, and relationship management skills are essential.
Salary Information:
- Minimum Salary: USD $85, per year.
- Maximum Salary: USD $105, per year.
