Job Title: Privacy and Compliance Analyst (Hybrid)
Job Responsibilities:
The Privacy and Compliance Analyst at the law firm will be responsible for supporting a variety of firm-wide projects and initiatives related to privacy and compliance. Key responsibilities include:
- Supporting the firm's data protection initiatives and processes.
- Conducting various risk assessments, including client risk assessments, data protection impact assessments, and artificial intelligence assessments.
- Engaging in investigations, inquiries, and remediation efforts.
- Analyzing and supporting privacy and compliance initiatives such as privacy by design, data minimization, and continuous improvement of access management and controls.
- Developing and assisting with corrective action plans.
- Monitoring and auditing firm processes involving personal information.
- Resolving internal audit findings and ensuring alignment of operational processes with compliance requirements.
- Creating and maintaining procedural documentation for firm processes and initiatives.
- Participating in the strategy for data protection controls and administering privacy and security controls to support the firm's regulatory and federal government requirements.
- Serving as a privacy and compliance resource to cross-functional teams and workgroups to identify, improve, and monitor processes designed to mitigate risk of non-compliance.
- Assisting with administrative and operational functions of the privacy and compliance program.
- Handling special projects and duties as assigned.
Education and Experience Information:
Required Qualifications & Education:
- A Bachelor’s degree is required.
- 2-4 years of professional compliance experience, including familiarity with privacy and data protection.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with clients, internal attorneys, cross-functional teams, leaders, and subject matter experts.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word) and iManage.
Preferred Qualifications & Education:
- Knowledge or understanding of data protection principles.
- Experience with Governance, Risk, and Compliance (GRC).
- Understanding of Artificial Intelligence (AI) Privacy.
- Experience in a law firm setting.
- Industry-standard certifications such as CCEP, CIPP, CIPM, or similar.
Salary Information:
The base salary ranges for the position of Privacy and Compliance Analyst at the law firm vary by location and are as follows:
- Washington: $74,000 - $112,000 per year
- Illinois: $74,000 - $112,000 per year
- District of Columbia: $81,000 - $122,000 per year
- New York City: $81,000 - $122,000 per year
- Colorado: $68,000 - $102,000 per year
- California: $81,000 - $122,000 per year
