Job Title: Paralegal II

Job Responsibilities:
The Paralegal II position involves a variety of responsibilities centered around legal document management and support for the legal department. Key duties include drafting, reviewing, and revising complex commercial contracts and other legal documents such as real estate transactional documents, title work, collateral documents, and corporate governance documents and filings. The role also involves researching and interpreting statutes and regulations, leading the administration of acquisitions, divestitures, investments, and real estate transactions, as well as assisting with related processes. The Paralegal II will lead other projects in support of assigned divisions or departments.

Essential job responsibilities include:
- Preparing, reviewing, and revising various contracts and legal documents like vendor/service agreements, purchase and sale agreements, confidentiality agreements, licensing agreements, collateral and security documents, leases, and correspondence.
- Performing initial matter intakes and managing the flow of contracts.
- Filing, recording, tracking, and calendaring collateral/security documents and key contract dates.
- Maintaining electronic files in an organized manner according to set processes.
- Assisting attorneys with transaction closings, corporate matters, and special projects.
- Conducting legal research as requested.
- Assisting with the preparation and maintenance of corporate entity organizational documents.
- Completing special projects and assignments as requested.
- Building and maintaining positive internal and external customer relationships.
- Supporting corporate and legal department vision, mission, and strategies.
- Championing continuous improvement and quality control efforts to innovate and improve efficiency, accuracy, and standardization.
- Continuously learning and developing professionally.
- Supporting corporate efforts for safety, government compliance, and all other company policies and procedures.
- Performing other related duties as required and assigned.

Education and Experience Information:
Required qualifications for this role include at least five years of prior relevant experience in either a law firm or corporate legal department with working knowledge in one or more areas of expertise such as real estate transactions including title work, commercial contracts and leases, corporate records, corporate guidance, litigation and worker's compensation, intellectual property, tech/innovation/sustainability, and renewable energy. The candidate should be highly motivated, eager to learn, and able to work independently with a strong sense of urgency under moderate supervision. Proficiency in complex contract drafting and review, excellent research, communications, and writing skills, and strong critical thinking skills are essential. The candidate should be competent in utilizing technology, have a thorough knowledge of Microsoft 365, and be organized and detail-oriented with the ability to prioritize and perform well under pressure. Collaboration with legal team members and throughout the company is also important.

Preferred qualifications include a bachelor's degree, an ABA paralegal certificate or paralegal associate degree, and Wisconsin State Bar Paralegal Certification.
