The law firm of **Members Only** is seeking an experienced Manager of Business Development & Marketing to join our team and support the Litigation Department practice groups. This role is responsible for providing strategic insights and tactical execution of initiatives to drive revenue, deepen client relationships, and build profiles for the department. This is a highly visible and hands-on role that offers the opportunity to collaborate with leaders of the Litigation Department and BD&M team to proactively engage clients and win work.
Key responsibilities for this role include developing and executing marketing strategies, identifying cross-selling opportunities, supporting the pitch process, and managing the integration of lateral partners and counsel. Additionally, the Manager will oversee the production and management of marketing events and activities, provide coaching and training to attorneys, and supervise a BD&M Specialist.
The ideal candidate will have a and at least seven years of experience in business development, marketing, client management, or direct sales within a professional service firm. Experience with or a strong understanding of litigation-focused practice groups is preferred.

Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute marketing strategies for Litigation Department practice groups
- Identify cross-selling opportunities and work with team members and attorneys to expand client relationships
- Support practice group leaders in annual business and budget planning processes
- Assist in creating and executing customized pitches, business development presentations, and RFPs
- Understand and support the pitch process, including competitive intelligence and research
- Read industry, legal, and business publications to remain aware of trends and identify business development opportunities
- Work with communications and PR team to build profile for practice groups
- Produce and manage marketing events and activities
- Provide coaching and training to attorneys
- Directly supervise a BD&M Specialist
- Build relationships with attorneys and colleagues to develop and execute practice group plans
- Recommend and support traditional marketing activities
- Provide discipline and structure to advance projects and plans
- Evaluate investments and make recommendations for new and existing programs
Qualifications:
- required
- Minimum of seven (7) years of experience in business development, marketing, client management, or direct sales within a professional service firm
- Experience with or understanding of litigation-focused practice groups preferred
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
- Ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects
- Proven ability to align firm capabilities with client needs to drive revenue
- Experience with ROI mentality and able to incorporate it into all business development activities
- Strong leadership skills and ability to build trusted relationships with attorneys and colleagues
