Job Title: Attorney Recruiting Onboarding Coordinator
Job Responsibilities:
- Organize all pre-arrival logistics for lateral attorneys, ensuring a seamless onboarding process from start to finish.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for newly hired attorneys, facilitating a smooth transition into the firm.
- Coordinate introductions and provide arrival information to relevant office administrators and teams.
- Collaborate with administrative departments to integrate new hires, including coordinating new associate integration activities.
- Handle conflicts, background checks, onboarding paperwork, and manage the Workday process.
- Develop and disseminate information to new hires about the firm, onboarding timeline, IT equipment, and benefits.
- Coordinate Lateral Link assignments and programs.
- Organize check-ins for new hires and manage payment of placement fees, stipends, and bonuses.
- Track offer/hire information, monitor progress, report results, and document lessons learned from each integration.
- Meet deadlines and recommend process efficiencies as the subject matter expert.
- Ensure compliance with all processes and maintain a high level of confidentiality.
- Proactively identify process improvements and challenge the status quo to enhance integration and retention.
- Mentor junior team members and provide training.
- Maintain records in viRecruit and Workday, updating as needed.
Education and Experience Information:
- A bachelor’s degree is required.
- At least two years of professional recruiting experience in a law firm or professional services is strongly preferred.
- Outstanding organizational, communication (written and verbal), and critical thinking skills are essential.
- Knowledge of the attorney recruiting process and legal employment issues is necessary.
- Ability to set priorities, work independently, and manage a variety of duties effectively under time constraints.
- Understanding of unconscious bias and its effect on recruiting and hiring.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to work well with different levels of firm personnel and external clients.
- Superior analytical, attention to detail, planning, and organizational skills.
- Highly motivated and creative, with the ability to make sound business decisions.
- Ability to handle confidential and sensitive information with appropriate discretion.
- Proficiency with MS Office and applicant tracking systems, preferably Workday and LawCruit/viRecruit.
Salary Information:
- The primary location for this job is in Palo Alto, but other locations may be listed.
- The actual base pay offered will depend on various factors, including the selected candidate’s qualifications, years of relevant experience, level of education, professional certifications and licenses, and work location.
- Anticipated pay range:
- San Francisco and Silicon Valley: - per hour
- Austin, Boston, Boulder, District of Columbia, Los Angeles, New York, San Diego, Seattle, and Wilmington: - per hour
- Salt Lake City and all other locations: - per hour
- Compensation may include overtime and a discretionary year-end merit bonus based on performance.
