Job Title: Intake Patent Paralegal Level II

Job Responsibilities:
The Intake Patent Paralegal Level II at the law firm is tasked with assisting attorneys across various practice groups in the intake of new patent files. This role includes responsibilities such as managing the deadlines associated with patent prosecution across both foreign and . jurisdictions. The paralegal will work collaboratively with attorneys, clients, and other staff to collect necessary materials and manage their entry into the firm's systems. The role also involves handling additional prosecution-related projects, including foreign filing letters, title perfection, IDS preparation, and filing. The paralegal is expected to meet a billable goal of 1000 hours annually.

Key duties include:
- Coordinating with attorneys, clients, and prior counsel to complete intake processes.
- Managing intakes by preparing master lists, maintaining dashboards, and mapping patent families.
- Troubleshooting missing items and obtaining necessary information from prior counsel, libraries, or foreign associates.
- Preparing and filing customer number uploads, power of attorney documents for . matters, assignments, and documents.
- Corresponding with foreign associates regarding the transfer of files.
- Promoting a positive work environment and collaborating effectively with team members.
- Assisting in patent prosecution functional areas such as managing attorney and client dockets for foreign filing deadlines, preparing correspondence, and filing Information Disclosure Statements with the USPTO.
- Organizing references in connection with patent portfolios into prior art databases and maintaining these databases.
- Managing additional patent prosecution-related projects, including title perfection and claims-related projects.

Education and Experience Information:
- A Bachelor’s degree is preferred for this position.
- The candidate should have a minimum of three to six years of experience in . and foreign patent prosecution.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications is required.
- Strong oral and written communication skills are necessary, along with excellent time management, prioritization, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
- The candidate should have knowledge of legal terminology, rules, regulations, and procedures specific to the practice area.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively with individuals at various levels of the organization are essential.
- The ability to maintain confidentiality and respond calmly and efficiently in stressful situations is important.
- The candidate should be punctual, reliable, and able to meet set deadlines while being flexible to workload demands, including overtime requests.

Salary Information:
The pay range for this full-time position at the law firm's Boston office is between $88,300 USD and $104,300 USD annually. The actual pay will be determined based on experience and other job-related factors permitted by law.
